Dr. Zin and his colleagues developed a novel proximity doping technique that ca be used in semiconductor, photovoltaic, MEMS, and Optical devices. A Patent Cooperation Treaty application (PCT/US24/42494) has been filed for this novel technique.

Up to 25 ECE undergraduate students undertaken the lab demonstration sections as part of Microelectronic Processing course in the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023. Students were split into 4 groups and they learned the fundamentals of micro/nanolithography patterning process, deposition of dielectric materials, measurements and characterizations, along with hands-on experiments.
